Bespoke pitch book

Park provides one of our agency customers with property printing services. They are a design, marketing and PR consultancy that represents a selection of exclusive property owners. They had an opportunity to pitch to a VERY high profile client, but timings were tight, the pitch was the very next day!

The challenge

The brief to us was to produce a luxurious presentation fit to be shown to a king!  We were alerted to this at 09.00hrs one morning, with copies required by 20.30hrs that evening.

Our solution

Obviously digital printing was the way forward. It was agreed that the presentation was to be post screw bound with a heavy cloth lined front and back cover, foiled on the face, and was to sit within a high quality cloth lined box, foiled on its top, with a protective foam insert.

The foiling die artwork for the box and cover arrived at 10.15hrs. This was sent immediately to the die-maker company, which completed it by 16.30hrs, ready for collection (dies usually take 48 hours to produce).

Artwork for the text and positional guides for the foil arrived at 13.30hrs. The text was printed on our HP Indigo 7800 and text blocks sent to our binding partner at 17.30hrs to coincide with the receipt of the die. Our partner immediately prioritised our project, (reflecting the strength of the relationship with us), lined, made up and foiled the boxes and then laser cut and inserted the foam. The pre-cut cover boards and spine for the brochure were lined with cloth externally and with paper internally before being foiled and drilled, and the text bound in with 3 brass screws.

The 4 finished copies were delivered by hand at 20.00hrs.

The results

* A luxurious, visually stunning, differentiated presentation piece which conveyed perfectly the agency's brand and positioning, and displayed beautifully the company’s property portfolio

* Vibrant colour, and detail throughout

* Clean, smooth solid coverage pages

* Well executed foiling, and post screw binding, with unusually heavy cover

* Well executed foiled box with foam insert

* Delivered within 10 hours of the first notification of the project

The Landseer building

Property printing

Park provides one of our agency customers with property printing services. They are a design, marketing and PR consultancy that represents a selection of exclusive property owners. One of their clients, The Landseer building, offers exclusive penthouses overlooking Lords cricket ground.

The challenge

The marketing brochure had to capture the attention and interest of the ten wealthy foreign prospects who had been identified as potential purchasers. The brochure had to convey the luxury and exclusivity of the accommodation and views, while being produced within a challenging 6 working days, to be available at the start of a test match. It was agreed that the brochure would be landscape, of a usually large and therefore eye-catching size, and screw post bound.

Our solution

We recommended that the covers be cased using an unusually thick 6mm board, the thickness adding solidity and the feel of quality. To convey luxury and exclusivity, we proposed that the cases be then wrapped in Winters White Bukano Chocolate with end papers in Colorado Cloth.

We created an internal screw construction with the outer screws countersunk into the board and hidden below the Bukano material. The screws were then powder coated to match the colour of the cloth. The outer cover was then debossed and a brass plaque affixed.

The text was processed using our unique ‘XD Screening’ technology which allows us to process the imagery using a conventional 240# screen, and the floor plans using a 21 micron stochastic screen, both on one printing plate. This produces the most vibrant imagery, while ensuring the tints in the floor plans are smooth and clean.

To maintain maximum detail within the imagery, the cap of 450 dpi image resolution within our workflow system was removed to allow the images to be processed at maximum resolution.

Image and plate profiles adapted to achieve the best results on matt coated paper were applied. The text was then printed to the ISO 12647-2 (2013) colour standard.

To enable the text pages to open as flat as possible, each page was step creased.

The results

* A luxurious, eye-catching and unique marketing piece conveying the luxury and exclusivity of the penthouses

* Vibrant imagery, and a high level of detail throughout

* Consistent colour throughout

* Good cross-spine match-ups

* Smooth, clean tints in the floor plans

* Well executed and accurate screw post binding

* Delivered within a very fast 6 working days

Property Marketing Awards brochure

The annual Property Marketing Awards celebrate the year’s very best, most effective, as well as the most innovative and creative marketing campaigns around the UK property industry.

Park sponsored the category BEST MARKETING CAMPAIGN: RESIDENTIAL – NEW BUILD and were the preferred partner for printing the award collateral.

The challenge

The awards brochure and follow-up teasers provided us with the opportunity to impress the property marketing agencies.  Both pieces had to be innovative, be of the very high quality standard demanded by the agencies, and also reflect the brand of the PMA which was a rainbow of colours reversing out of a solid black.

The brochure had to be produced within a very fast 4 working day timetable, and the teaser within 5 days following the awards to maximise effectiveness.

Our solution

Awards Brochure

We proposed the following to create an innovative eye-catching brochure:

*  That the brochure be 220mm square, rather than 297mm x 99mm as initially suggested by the agency. The 220mm square size, while still being unusual, enabled a more visually effective portrayal of the award entries, most of which were landscape.

*  That the cover be wrapped in a jacket to enhance the feel of solidity and quality.

*  That the cover be silk screened in white, and then die-cut revealing the striped colours of the cover below, so reproducing the PMA logo. As the accuracy of the die-cutting and creasing was critical, a member of our production team passed both on-site at the outworker.

*  The paper stock for the jacket, a smooth black material which would take the silk screen well.

*  The paper stock for the cover and text, a very white material that would maximise the contrast between the black backgrounds and white-out headings. Dummies were produced to establish the optimum weights.

*  That we adjust the tint weights in the black backgrounds to produce rich dense blacks.

The follow-up Teaser

The follow-up teaser gave us another opportunity to demonstrate our innovation, while sitting in sympathy with the brochure.  Demonstrating some of the innovative features of our new HP Indigo 7800 digital press (the Company’s first Indigo, installed in February 2015) the resulting teaser includes:

*  White ink printing.

*  Four colour imagery printing over white ink.

*  Four colour striped pattern matching the cover of the brochure, printing in white ink on the black material.

*  Personalisation: each teaser included a picture and contact details.
