Athena Advisors, the property investment boutique, was commissioned to produce a marketing brochure for the eco-friendly Brazilian resort of Reserva Ponta do Curral and turned to Park's digital printing services following a recommendation.
Athena Advisors wanted a differentiated up-market brochure that conveyed the lifestyle available in the resort. Our challenge was to provide creative input, (especially what could be used within the timeframe and budget) and to produce a technically challenging specification within the very short timeframe of 3 working days.
The customer wanted to use an uncoated un-laminated paper for the cover. We recommended that the material be textured to reduce the visibility of any finger-marking caused in handling.
Rather than print the cover, we suggested the beachfront scene be foiled in matt black and the resort name be debossed to add tactility. We added white head and tail bands to add a further touch of quality, and endpapers in a shade of natural stone to further enhance quality and convey the closeness to nature of the resort.
Oxygen 100% offset was proposed for the text as this is 100% recycled while being able to produce a good printed result. The text was printed on our HP Indigo 7800.
The book was PUR bound rather than threadsewn to facilitate digital printing, so saving cost and enabling the customer to enhance the quality and interest by using the silkscreen and debossing on the cover.
