Beauty Papers: photography magazine printing

Beauty Papers is a biannual that explores beauty art and culture.

Issue VIII —the revolution issue – starred Harry Styles revolutionising and reinventing his own identity. Two of the five covers featured Harry, provoking a huge response that resonated with the press and the public the world over.

To ensure this global exclusive was not revealed, Park worked to a strict confidentiality agreement and ensure the maximum impact once title hit the shelves.

It seems to have worked; the mag sold out within days, leading to a reprint to meet the orders.

The readers’ emotional journey through Beauty Papers is told by the visceral photography, showcased on two different stocks: Galerie Gloss, chosen for its exceptional whiteness and eye-catching surface, and Arctic Matt, a high-bulking stock in natural soft-white.

For a sleek finish, the cover of Issue VIII was given a matt laminate, and securely PUR-bound in-house at Park.

Independent magazines have always pushed the boundaries of culture. This hasn’t always been to their financial advantage. But this is also part and parcel of what makes the indie mag. With principles and …
