Positive News magazine: carbon neutral printing
When this magazine approached Park in 2015, they arrived not only with a printing brief, but a reputation to uphold.
For over two decades, Positive News has been an antidote to the doom and gloom of mainstream news, publishing ‘constructive journalism…focused on progress, possibility, and solutions’.
With fans numbering in thousands and a tight editorial schedule, the mag depends on reliable printer to ensure every issue comes off without a hitch. Park prints over 15,000 copies per issue, in just five days from sign-off of the proofs.
The mag is known for its dynamic approach to cover art. Collaborating with designers GiveUpArt, we vary colours, finishes and imagery to ensure each quarterly edition has a distinct identity.
As with every client, Park consults with Positive News on how to produce quality for a controlled budget. Two Park Offset stocks – 250gsm for the cover and 100gsm for the text – are arranged in 16pp sections and securely PUR-bound, producing a weighty, quality feel, at optimum cost-effectiveness.
In a nod to the its status as a ‘community benefit’ non-profit, the magazine clearly communicates its sustainability credentials. Positive News is a carbon-neutral Park production, with a sustainability imprint added to the inside cover of every edition.
