Immortal: photography prints box set
Photographers Warren de Preez and Nick Thornton Jones needed a boxset of limited-edition prints to sell at exhibitions.
The boxsets needed to be ‘affordable but special’, and to showcase the range, essence and depth of their work – no simple task, with the striking experimental visuals for which the photographers are renowned.
Park pulled out all the stops to create a boxset described by the British Journal of Photography as ‘a dizzying intensity of colours and light.’
Heptachrome printing, using highly-pigmented TOYO inks from Japan, captured the full vibrancy of the photographers’ signature oranges, violets and greens.
Three different paper stocks, multiple screening techniques and even solid silver ink were used, with the client on-hand to test different methods and agree on the perfect formula.
For the launch of Immortal, Park also printed invitations within 36 hours – a mark of our ability to produce exceptional quality on tight timescales.
Preez & Thornton agreed the result was a ‘knockout’ –
‘prints that seem, quite genuinely, to stand between photography and fine art – as tangible as it is surreal.’
