Graphius Magazine: brand magazine in 3 languages
Graphius’s bi-annual magazine showcases their latest print productions, and aims to educate the market in what can be achieved with print.
The design of the magazine varies with each issue – it is between 60 and 80pp, with different paper stocks and cover finishes which reflect the range of possibilities available for Graphius’ clients.
For each edition, Park’s team works from an existing design template, adjusting the artworking to best fit the new content.
Each edition also includes a throw-out to feature a particular book. The design brief is to augment one or two striking images of the book with tinted or textured backgrounds, communicating the look and feel of the production being showcased.
As many of the magazine’s articles are interviews with customers in their native languages, the initial magazine design comprises articles supplied in English, Dutch and French. Once the initial design is approved, the remaining two language translations are supplied for each article, resulting in 3 versions of the magazine in different languages.
These versions are then created and supplied as packaged documents and print-ready PDFs using Graphius’s print settings, and are sent off for printing in Ghent.
