Annual Report Printing & Translation for a Fund Manager
Park deals with complex international projects for this leading financial services business.
We were asked to translate and print a series of annual reports and interim reports. With pagination running to over 800 pages, technology was needed to accerate the translation process.
By building a “translation memory” – a set of common phrases which would have standard translations throughout the report – we were able to offer terminologically consistent translations at speed, and at a competitive cost.
The finished reports were destined for offices all over the world. To ensure we met deadlines, and were best able to accomodate any last minute requests, Park chose to print in three international locations.
Local requirements varied from just seven to 20,000 copies, so in each location, we identified the most cost-efficient production method for the volume: sheet-fed litho in China; web offset in Singapore; and in the UK, a combination of the two, as well as digital printing. Lightweight, 45gsm paper also meant postage costs were kept to a minimum.
Through close collaboration with the client and our international partners, and though Park’s signature strict process control, we ran a seamless operation in which all the reports were created quickly, accurately and economically.
