Exhibition catalogue printing for The National Portrait Gallery

Bespoke colour profile
Novatech Gloss 170gsm
Thread-sewnin house

The National Portrait Gallery needed a high quality catalogue printer that could do justice to the entries in its annual Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize.

Park was selected for its industry-leading colour management capabilities. From start to finish, we collaborated with the gallery’s production manager and a third-party repro house, sharing our expertise to achieve the client’s desired effects on press.

We recommended Novatech Gloss 170gsm as the ideal canvas, with its high gloss and brilliant white finish allowing the details of each photograph to be dutifully reproduced.

High quality Epson proofs were provided, allowing colours to be matched on press. We then created a bespoke calibration curve in order to capture the gallery’s reproduction values.

The catalogue was thread-sewn in-house, allowing the finished product to open as flat as possible, revealing further detail of the imagery found within.
