Exhibition catalogue printing for Offer Waterman art gallery
Mayfair art dealer Offer Waterman is renowned for selling the very best of modern British art.
They approached Park to print the catalogue for an exhibition featuring the work of Lucien Freud, Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. We worked closely with the gallery and their graphic design consultants, Richard Ardagh Studio, to create a catalogue that was both luxurious and contemporary.
We provided scatter proofs of colour-critical images on press up front. Once we had received live files of the catalogue, high-resolution Epson proofs were produced and sent to the customer the following day.
The customer was present for the first few text sides on press, and entrusted Park to pass the remaining pages. Our ISO12647 press ensured colour accuracy and faithful reprinting of images.
An 8pp cover, made from a deep green ‘Nettuno’ Forest 280gsm was chosen to contrast with the vibrant pink and white foiled title. A linen texture was applied to the cover, adding to the catalogue’s luxurious feel.
For the text stock, high-bulking Arctic Volume 200gsm was chosen to add substance to the finished product.
The catalogues were thread sewn, allowing the reader to open the product flatter, and fully appreciate the entirety of the art found within.
