Catalogue printing: repro & colour accuracy for Portland Gallery
Park is proud to be Portland Gallery’s chosen supplier in catalogue printing. This is thanks in part to our in-house retouching team’s ability to reproduce colour images with stunning accuracy.
For the Nick Botting sale, our repro team produced a set of Epson proofs based on PDF files supplied by the customer. From there, the client fed back on our colour accuracy, directly marking the proves for corrections and alterations. These revisions are then used to produce a final round of Epson proofs for the gallery’s approval.
Park’s speed and responsiveness with catalogues provides galleries with the largest-possible window to prepare for the exhibition before printing. This particular production was completed in only seven days from press-pass to delivery.
Portland also values the wide range of creative options available in-house at Park. The Gallery’s catalogues are folded, thread-sewn and bound at our London facility, ensuring the exacting standards of quality control at every step.
The cover of this production was printed InverCote G board, with a gloss-coated outside for maximum detail and definition, and a tactile, uncoated inner. The text stock is Novatech Matt, chosen for its superior image reproduction and bulky feel.
