Catalogue printing for Offer Waterman’s Diarmuid Kelley sale
At Park, we work closely with art dealers and their suppliers, to offer bespoke solutions for the printing of their marketing materials.
On Offer Waterman’s catalogue for the sale of Diarmuid Kelley’s work, we collaborated with their graphic design consultants, Richard Ardagh Studio, to ensure we met their exacting requirements.
Once we received the live files, we produced hi resolution Epson proofs which were reviewed by the customer and their design team. On approval, the customer passed the first few text sides on press, before entrusting Park to oversee the printing process.
Our ISO12647 colour management process ensured that all images were faithfully reproduced.
We suggested an 8pp cover printed on Materica Pitch 250gsm. This uncoated material is produced from a variety of recycled fibres, including cotton, which adds a roughness to the finish, and cellulose, which lends volume and a robust tactility to the catalogue.
Foilco 6990 was chosen for the lettering, as its deep bronze cut through the weight of the cover, adding prestige to the finished product, while the heavy-bulking Arctic Volume 200gsm text provided substance.
Once printed, the catalogue was thread sewn, allowing the pages to be opened flatter, framing the carefully reproduced images of Kelley’s beautiful paintings.
