Catalogue printing for Martin Beisly
Martin Beisly gallery needed a catalogue that could exhibit the vast landscape and intricate detail of ‘The Private View at the Royal Academy 1881’ by William Powell Frith, in a single item sale.
Our exacting colour management process involved scatter proofing on press to ensure the painting’s colour and detail were accurately retained by the photography. After artwork had been approved, we supplied Epson proofs the very next day.
A throwout cover was used to display the reproduced painting in its full glory. Colorplan Forest 350gsm was chosen for the cover, its deep and rich green mirroring the gallery’s branding, with bronze foiled text added for a luxurious shimmer. Extra substance was added to the product by the use of Galerie Satin 170gsm stock.
The cover was again foiled in bronze against a green background, Colorplan Amethyst 170gsm.
A four-colour printed gloss laminate dust jacket was added to each catalogue, while 100 case bound copies were produced for high value customers.
On approval, the customer passed the dust jacket on press, and then entrusted Park to complete the printing. The soft bound version of the catalogue was completed within 5 days, and the case bound copies were delivered 5 working days later.
