Auction catalogue printing for Lyon & Turnbull

Park is proud to be the printing partner for a number of the UK’s most prestigious auction houses. Based in Edinburgh, Lyon & Turnbull is renowned as one of Scotland’s leading purveyors of fine art. 

For the private owners’ sale of the contents of Kirkton House, Lyon & Turnbull wanted a catalogue with a luxurious cover, matching the standard of the 500-plus lots found within.

We suggested Wibalin Natural White, a cost-effective but premium uncoated material, with a textured finish. The customer agreed to an 8pp cover, allowing us to feature a stunning damask panel on the inside covers. 

Our collaborative editing processes suited the customer’s production schedules perfectly. After the artwork was uploaded to our online system, the team at Lyon & Turnbull were able to make edits remotely. 

Park’s in-house reprographics team and colour-calibrated presses allowed us to accurately showcase the intricate details of the furniture and artwork found in the Kirkton House collection. 

A neutral coat was added to the cover to reduce the risk of text marking in distribution, while a substantial 150gsm Galerie Satin text stock lent a premium feel to the pages inside.

The catalogue was delivered from press to delivery within six working days. Each catalogue was delivered with a personalised invitation to the auction, in a recyclable gusset envelope.
