Auction catalogue printing for Freeman’s Grand Old Flags sale

PUR-boundin-house at Park

Freeman’s position as one of the US’s most prestigious auctioneers made it the perfect fit for the sale of Dr. Peter J Klein’s collection of vintage and antique American flags.

Using our in-house die cutting capabilities, Park was able to create a modern catalogue and front cover that honoured the history and pageantry of the Star Spangled Banner.

Using our Heidelberg Cylinder, we cut the word ‘FLAG’ into the 8pp cover, revealing the Stars & Stripes below. A cream-embossed 400gsm, Munken Lynx stock was chosen for a luxurious finish and feel.

In a fitting salute to the theme of the sale, we created three cover designs with the catalogue’s spines finished in either red, white or blue. A neutral coat was applied during print, to speed up drying and prevent damage during transportation.

To add a premium feel to the catalogue, the text pages were printed in four-colour process, with a neutral seal, on weighty Galerie Matt 150gsm.

Once the proofs were signed off, Park copies were ready to dispatch to the customer’s offices in Pennsylvania in six working days.
