Auction catalogue printing and image retouching for Lawrences

Fine art auctioneers Lawrences came to Park with a wide-ranging and challenging brief. They needed a 244pp catalogue for over 2,000 lots in its three-day sale, with image retouching that would do justice to the stunning silverware, ceramics and furniture up for auction.

While technically difficult to print, our in-house reprographics team was able to retain details of the silver, ceramics and jewellery featured. This was particularly challenging, as the customer required the product photography to be situated on a grey background

We neutralised the imagery and grey backgrounds, using our bespoke reprographics to ensure colours and engraved detailing stood out in print.

To mirror the thurible featured on the front cover, we suggested the use of silver foil detailing, creating a synergy between catalogue and product.

Following production, the catalogues were inserted into recyclable gusset window envelopes, addressed using a carrier sheet before release to Royal Mail.
