Auction catalogue design & printing for Watches of Knightsbridge
At the start of this year, Watches of Knightsbridge approached Park to help redesign their catalogues, to showcase the stunning watches and timepieces featured in their auctions.
With so many different products to be showcased, finding a format that is both visually appealing and accurately conveys product information is a highly specialised and technically demanding skill. Our in-house design team is more than up to the challenge.
After redesigning the customer’s text styles, we developed a page grid to fit their desired format, allowing for product photos to be dropped in with no resizing. We also included feature pages, in which images of standout pieces were sized to best effect.
Park’s in-house catalogue team then formatted the supplied text and placed imagery into the templated pages, before returning proofs to the client.
As there can be up to four rounds of editing, we use grep searches to speed up the revisions process. This command allows us to quickly search for text and patterns of code across the working catalogue, reducing time in making edits.
Matt gold foiling gave the cover a luxurious finish, matching the products found within the catalogue.
