Aston Martin’s designer needed a print partner for a bespoke brochure advertising their new luxury SUV, called the DBX.

Throughout the process, we advised on all technical aspects, including the types of proofing undertaken, and the materials and finishes used.

Proofing included two rounds of machine scatter proofs, Indigo book proofs, white paper dummies, and Epsons for accurate colour and image quality, all of which ensured that the final product would be perfect.

The Aston Martin brand wanted to convey a sense of luxury with their brochure, so Park recommended 3 FSC-certified, uncoated stocks by Fedrigoni. The tactile Arena Rough, the cloudy Pergamento Bianco designed to emulate ancient parchment, and the smooth, black Siro Nero, were used together to elevate the product’s overall feeling of superior quality.

On the cover, an anti-scuff matt laminate and foil added interest and texture to the brochure. We also added short width section break pages with white foil, and high-build UV on the double page image of the car, to spotlight the product and add lift and shine to the uncoated text. For a further touch of luxury, the product was case bound.

Despite the varying stocks and page widths, we were able to ensure high quality and accurate folding, trimming and case binding for a clean-cut, flawless result.

The brochure is now being reproduced in 4 more languages, including Japanese and Chinese.  Park has also been commissioned to produce a second, similar brochure for the DB12 car.
