abdrn: annual report typesetting & artworking

abdrn is a global investment company which operates in over 40 locations around the world. The Board of abdrn’s Asian Income Investment Fund needed a new look for their annual report and interim. As well as modernising the report, the Board wanted to improve the readers’ experience, and present the information in an easily accessible form.

As a leading annual report printer & artworker Park was asked to submit proposals as part of a competitive tender process involving a number of other companies. Three samples were prepared and presented for consideration, with one of Park’s designs chosen by the board.

This design was then developed by Park’s typesetting and artworking team, who created a template for all 112 text pages.

This introduced a fresh look and feel to the report, with a 6-page cover for a creative flourish.

The finished report was updated overnight with a further 17 stages of corrections, to supply clean, blacklined, and cumulative blacklined proofs.

After final approval, Park printed and mailed the copies to shareholders within 6 working days.
