To present to stakeholders on its 30-year anniversary, high-street food chain Pret wanted a hardback book detailing the company’s impressive history.
It was an ambitious creative brief, to include gold inks, foiled embossing and a stunning white hard cover. We brought our experience to the table, adapting the brief to produce the outstanding quality within their budget.
Instead of matt varnish on the gold details, which produced gas ghosting on the Tatami stock, we suggested an ultra-matt coat across the whole sheets, producing a tactile feel which delighted the client.
Further adaptations were made to the cover – white-lined, to conceal grey board underneath – and two different foiling houses were trialled to achieve the perfect finish.
The result was an eye-catching, impactful and elegant photo book that makes the perfect keepsake to mark a milestone in the company’s story.
